American Gospel: Christ Alone
The film examines prosperity and incomplete “power” gospels — the stream associated with White’s public ministry.
In the clip on the right (May 2020), Todd attacks the film because it names him and others. He calls it a “demonically inspired movie,” rejects being called a heretic, and describes shredding the DVD rather than sitting under the critique.

The apology — and what it never says
Feb 2026. After the open letter, petition pressure, and a $100K investigation offer. We pulled auto-captions of his apology and compared them to the published charges.
His video
“People have felt hurt… zeal without wisdom”
He apologizes that people felt hurt, unseen, or distanced from God through his leadership. He takes responsibility for confusion, pressure, and pain while “trying to get things done.” Frames the problem as launching too fast, unclear culture, uneven load — zeal without wisdom.
Then: historical student growth, accreditation, 20,000 to equip, millions “hearing the gospel,” thank you donors, healthy leadership team — and Acts 20:24: finish the work assigned to me.
That is organizational regret + brand continuity — not confession of the open letter’s integrity charges.

Biblical repentance names the sin and bears fruit (Luke 19:8; 2 Cor 7:10–11). This video names pace and feelings — then reaffirms the platform. That is why it is widely called a fauxpology.
